Single quotes replaced with double quotes to avoid compatibility
problems with old browsers.
DTD now includes an external list of ISO-Latin characters.
(Thanks Rick Jelliffe)
Source code change in MSXML made to support external entities in
DTD.
Images color reduced, 50% bandwidth reduction with little quality
loss. Also made a (lower quality) set of images small enough that all of
Weeds will fit on a 1.4 M floppy.
More species identified. (Thanks to Gerth Hanson and David
Weinstein)
Version 0.94a
The language of common and latin names is now included in <SPAN> tags
to give a hint to machine translators. This doesn't solve the problem of discouraging
machine translators from translating english-language common names.
We now use style sheets for formatting to avoid serious problems on
older browsers (namely Netscape 2.)
Major reorganization: each plant is stored in it's own directory
This will make it easier to change the numbering of the plants in the next
version
Images are copied from another directory, making it possible to swap in
different image sets for different applications -- namely aggressively compressed
images for floppy distribution.
Eliminated URLs that end in "/" to make Weeds run correctly off a local
filesystem.
Version 0.95a
Software updated to eliminate dependence on UNIX style paths.
xml/ and about/ now use the main stylesheet.
File organization changed to enable rsyncing to and from the laptop and server.
