This background is an image of the Coma Cluster of Galaxies . The image is from the Digitized Sky Survey at the Space Telescope Science Institute . It is centered on the coordinates 12 59 50.699 + 27 57 44.327 (epoch J2000) and is 25 arcminutes on a side. The two largest galaxies in the field are NGC 4874 (at right) and NGC 4889 (at left). The bright star above NGC 4874 has a magnitude of 7.2. These three objects are all in Sky Atlas 2000.
